Sharing a Sense of Place
The beautiful Catskill Mountain/Hudson Valley region in upstate New York has inspired artists since Thomas Cole founded the Hudson River School in the mid-nineteenth century. The movement’s romantic portrayal of the land resonates with anyone who has visited or lived in the area.
Photographer Margaret Helthaler captures the nostalgic sense of place in her images of old barns, stone walls, hayfields, still forests, wildlife, and waterways. Even her portrait-like florals evoke a sense of quiet reflection.
You can enjoy her work as prints on hardboard and ceramic tile – for use as wall tiles, coasters, trivets, or as an inlay in one of our stylish little cocktail tables.
Woodworker Chris Helthaler expresses his connection with the land through the locally sourced hardwoods he uses to build our frames and tables.
